We’re on Our Way

Well, the bags are packed, the kids are “distributed” and we are about to head for the airport in about an hour. Several people have come by with packages and mail for both the Minks (directors in Namibia) and Schwartz’s in Zambia and for a variey of long-term volunteers. So, although Mike and I packed pretty “light” – we are carrrying 3 heavy bags and 1 bag that I hope to convince the airline to allow me to take on board – that’s the cameras and viewer! Please keep that in your prayers/thoughts.

The cats and dogs are all upset… they all know what luggage means and they don’t like it! This first week will be the hardest for the dogs as they will live predominately in their crates, waiting for the kindness of neighbors and their big human brothers to drop to visit and walk them. The second & third weeks will be hardest for my brother as he has flashbacks to teenagers!!! and a little Pinky who loves to bark. Sigh!

We contacted my friend’s daughter, Emmy, who gave us some good advice for a quick bus tour around London. We’ll be exhausted but it seems a shame not to take a gander while we’re there.

Well, that’s it for now. More to come. šŸ™‚
